Yellowboat - Antigua

Imagine living on the beautiful island of Antigua. And imagine having the opportunity to take fabulous photographs and hand-color them, turning them into beautiful works of art.

That is exactly what Jennifer Meranto of Yellowboat does!

Jennifer says "
The images included in the Yellow Boat series are spontaneous shots of the natural Caribbean environment taken during my travels around the islands.

The images were initially shot in black and white and later rendered with a fusion of alternative processes including bleaching, toning and hand coloring.

With these pictures I wanted to explore combining old and new photographic techniques to achieve a look which reflects the character of the islands, a world which is light filled, color saturated and at the same time worn and weathered.

I hope that my pictures honor the spirit of the people and places that make up this unique chain of island nations."

Jennifer's pictures are beautifully framed and presented.

Yellow Boat frames are hand crafted and hand painted in Haiti with uniquely designed
color palette of twelve designer color combinations. Each image has four different framing
options to choose from and three standard sizes. Each framed image is matted and mounted individually. All prints are individually signed in gold ink by the artist

Jennifer will even create custom frames, should you wish, to suit your decor.

You can see more of Jennifer's work and even order online at her website, www.yellowboat.com. Bring a little Caribbean flavor and sunshine into your home!
