Fried Green Tomatoes6 to 8 large green tomatoes, sliced 1/4
inch thick
2 egg, beaten
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. hot pepper sauce, or to taste
1 tsp. salt
pinch of black pepper
2 cup fine bread crumbs
Olive oil for frying
Coat tomato slices with flour, then dip in egg (seasoned
with salt,
pepper, and hot sauce) and finally in bread crumbs. Using
medium
heat, brown on both sides in a skillet with 1/2" of oil.
Serve hot, with extra hot sauce and green tomato relish.
