Apples and Red Cabbage2 TBS. butter
1 medium size red cabbage, finely shredded
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 small onion finely chopped
2 Cortland apples, peeled, cored and
finely chopped
1/4 cup red wine
4 TBS. lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste
Melt butter in skillet and saute cabbage and brown
sugar for several minutes. Add apples, onions, wine and
lemon juice and bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and
simmer for 45 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste
