Tennessee Barbecue Sauce
1 med onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp veg oil
1 1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp Jack Daniel's whiskey
1 tsp liquid smoke
2 1/2 tbsp cider vinegar
1/2 tsp dry mustard
2 drops hot pepper sauce
Saute onion and garlic in veg oil until tender. Stir in
remaining ingredients and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Makes about 2 cups.
Good for chicken pork and beef.
