Sauerkraut Pork Chops.
1/2 lb. bacon
2 lb. sauerkraut
1 15 oz. can apple sauce
1 tbles. brown sugar
1/2 tspn. mustard
1 oz. dry white wine
1/2 tspn. black pepper
1/3 tspn. paprika
1 pinch thyme
1 pinch oregano
6 loin pork chops (1 Inch thick).
Fry bacon, drain and crumble into small pieces; mix
bacon with sauerkraut, apple sauce, mustard, sugar,
wine, pepper, thyme and oregano. Sprinkle with
paprika. Saute the chops till lightly browned. Place
on top of sauerkraut mixture in a casserole. Cover and
bake at 300 degrees for 90 minutes.
