Smokey Pork Ribs
4 to 6 pounds pork country style ribs, cut 1-inch thick
2 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup water
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp hickory liquid smoke
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 cup catsup
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Place the ribs in a large saucepan and cover with water
Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
In a small saucepan brown the garlic in butter for 2 to 3
minutes. Add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil;
reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Place the ribs on the grill and cook 20 minutes,
turning and brushing with sauce every 5 minutes. Makes 4 to 6
servings
