Buttermilk Fried Chicken.

Ingredients-
Chicken-1 large cut in to pieces.
Buttermilk-2 cups.
Flour- 3/4 cup all purpose.
Coarse Corn Meal- 1/4 cup.
Salt-2 teaspoons.
Black Pepper-1 teaspoon.
Crisco Vegetable Lard-Plenty.

Instructions-

Cut the chicken in to pieces, clean and place in a large bowl. Pour the buttermilk over the chicken to cover and refrigerate overnight. Place the flour, cornmeal, salt and black pepper in a bowl and combine well. Lift the chicken out of the buttermilk and dip in to the flour mixture. Lightly shake off any extra flour. Fry in the crisco turning once when golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve with homemade mashed potatoes. Drizzle with honey if you like. Enjoy!!
