2 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup butter or margarine softened
Cream mixture until everything is mixed and smooth.

1 cup plus 4 TB flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

smooth.
Pour into buttered and floured 9x11 pan. Bake at 325 until
edges pull away from side of pan and is crackled. about 25-35
mins.
~Frosting~
While brownies are baking...
Place 1/4 cup butter or margarine
6-8 TB of milk
8 TB cocoa powder
in a saucepan over low heat. Stir (with Whisk) to melt and
mix everything together.
When mixture starts to bubble remove from heat and add 1 box
of powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. Continue to whisk until
everything is melted and smooth.
If frosting is too thick add a bit more milk, or powdered
sugar if too thin. Set frosting aside and when brownies come
out of oven, frost and allow to cool before cutting. If
necessary you can re-heat the frosting so it is easier to get
out of pan and spread on top of brownies.
Makes 24 2x2 brownies.
* Recipe can be doubled just allow for longer cooking time.
* you can add chopped nuts or coconut or chocolate chips to
brownies. Yummmmm
