Walnut Bread
3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
4-1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup black walnuts, chopped
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/4 cup butter, melted
In a large sift the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt
together. Stir in the nuts. In another bowl beat the eggs,
milk, and melted butter. Add to the flour mixture and
stir until very well mixed.
The batter will still be lumpy. Spoon the mixture into a
greased loaf pan and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 1
hour.Turn out of pan on to a wire rack to cool before slicing.
