1/4 lb. sweet butter, softened
1 3/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 cups ripe mashed bananas
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tablespoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Mix all ingredients well. Pour into 2-9" greased cake pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 325F. degrees or until finished. Top with confectioners' sugar or some melted chocolate
