Carolina Apple Cake
1-1/2 cups cooking oil
2 cups sugar
4 eggs beaten
Sift:
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
Add:
1 tsp baking soda
3 cups diced peeled apples
1 cup chopped nuts
Sauce:
1 tsp butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 tbsp vanilla
Simmer Sauce for 3 minutes, then pour over warm cake.
Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
