Bourbon
Molasses Chicken
3 tbsp molasses
2 tbsp bourbon whiskey
2 tbsp spicy brown mustard
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
1.75 pounds chicken parts
Prepare outdoor grill, or preheat broiler. In small bowl, mix
molasses, bourbon, mustard,
Worcestershire sauce and pepper; set aside. Place chicken on
lightly oiled grill or broiler
pan, 6-8-inches from heat source. Grill
or broil for 20-30 minutes (depending on parts and thickness)
until chicken is cooked
through, turning occasionally. During last 10 minutes of cooking
time, turn chicken and
baste frequently with reserved molasses mixture.
Serve hot. Or refrigerate to serve cold.
