Clam Spread2-10 oz. cans minced clams
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1 minced garlic clove
black pepper to taste
1 1/2 tsp. parsley
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
paprika
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1 1/2 quart ovenproof dish
2 pieces of American cheese
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and paprika
1 stick better or margarine.
1 small onion, minced
Combine minced clams, lemon juice and let simmer for 15
minutes. Add 1 minced onion, garlic, black pepper to taste,
butter, parsley, oregano, paprika, and cook for 15 minutes.
Add scant 3/4 cup of bread crumbs, mix and put into oven proof
dish and refrigerate over night. Slice 2 pieces of American
cheese and place in a lattice design on top--sprinkle with
Parmesan cheese and paprika. Bake at 400F. degrees for 20 to
30 minutes.
