What do you use to clean your coffee pot so that the coffee doesn't taste bitter. I use a percolator type pot. Whether you use a percolator or a drip what should I clean it with?

If I don't buy the cleaner then I use vinegar and then run water through it a couple of times.

White vinegar I think i have used that before. Cliff do you have a drip pot? What do I do with a perk. do I just let it soak in water and vinegar for a while?

I have a drip but I do it just like I was making coffee. Insides and all.

I've had both .I drip/perk a pot of pure vinegar
through first then a pot of water.It really cleans it good.

Theresa I just poured a cup of white vinegar into the pot and then filled it with water. I will just leave it for a few hours on the counter and see if that does the trick. Thank you!
