How do these famous people stay so fit? I know they must have their own personal chef! Does anyone know any special about a certain celeb and their special diet?

you two are probably right about most of the celebs..I read somewhere once that Madonna goes on these popcorn diets when she first started out when she wasnt famous nor mega wealthy enough to have a personal trainer or a personal chef like she does today! What about Sara Jessica Parker in Sex and the City..she must be eating healthy.
I found this reaaly interesting likn on the web;
"Say NO to Celebrity Diets
The next time you read about a celebrity film star
who has lost weight using a particular diet,
BE WARNED
Film stars aren't like us. They have personal cooks, personal fitness trainers and endless other retainers to assist them. In other words, what works for them won't necessarily work for you.
A celebrity with a multi-million dollar reputation linked to their size and shape has a unique incentive to lose weight, no matter how bad the diet.
Celebrities often resort to secret starvation to help the process along. Fine for them, perhaps, if it helps them to maintain their careers, but it's a waste of time for us ordinary folk.
The moral?
When choosing a diet to suit you, choose one that works for earthlings - not super-stars. Above all, don't be influenced by celebrity claims of fast weight loss. Celebrities and film stars have a reputation to promote!"

Bottom line is just try and eat healthily - all things in moderation basically.....and of course some excercise - even just walking! That pretty much does it for me

Quick question Jackie - is going off topic allowed in here I know it happens all the time in the YP's but not sure about in here!! Seems like every time I say something I am off topic

On the serious side ... I've just lost a little over 20 lbs in about 2 months.
What I've been doing is I eat a healthy small breakfast i.e. Smart Start cereal or nutrigrain bar, then about an hour before lunch I take a Metabolife pill to curve my appetite (it usually kills my appetite but I force myself to have lunch) then for luch I drink this fruit smoothy they sell here called Naked Juice, its just pure fruit but because its in the form of a thick smoothy it completely fills me. Then I have what ever for dinner, which turns out to be a small amount because I still get full fast from the Metabolife. I still have about 10-15 more I want to lose but I actually feel for once it wont be hard to do! Of course it would be even easy if I can get an exercise routine started

Look who's talking Miss toothpick!!

I know I'm not fat but I would never describe myself as skinny! I would just like to be where I was when I got out of high school! Aww the good old days when I could walk into any store at all and just pick out an out fit cause I thought it was cute and not if it would fit
But I suppose being female I'll never be satisfied!!

And Dee's looking for a room.

And Jill asked me if going off topic was OK

Back to this diet thingy. As a teenager I read some great literature but some real trash too. For example The Valley of the Dolls. (An excellent social comment on Hollywood and the entertainment business in the fifties with an emphasis on the exploitation of women and the demands upon them to retain their youth and beauty in a male dominated world .... yeah right! )

Anyway, to get to the point at last, it described 'the sleep treatment'. Actresses would book into a clinic for this treatment and what would happen was that they were kept under sedation for a specified period of time - two weeks or whatever. They were kept in a sort of coma and fed just enough to keep their bodies going and exercised so that their muscles kept in trim but they were completely unaware. As far as they were concerned, they went to sleep and woke up a couple of weeks later ten pounds lighter!

What I want to know is - is this true? Did this really happen? Does it still happen? If so, it sounds great to me!

That sounds really scary!! Being in a coma-like stage to lose weight! It sounds so dangerous! Im sure it cold be true especially anything for the celebs to look good!

I FOUND OUT ALOT OF CELEBS GET COLONICS...YOU CAN LOOSE ABOUT 7-20LBS IN ONE SESSION. A HOLISTIC PERSON FLUSHES YOUR INTESTINES FROM FOOD THAT HAS BEEN LEFT BEHIND FOR YEARS. ITS ALMOST LIKE A PLAQUE BUILD UP. MY FRIEND HAD ONE AND LOST 15LBS IN ONE SESSION (2HRS).

I believe celebs do exersise a lot, that`s their job - to stay fit, one of at least, they also sell their bodies - not literally of course, but, if you are not fit, you don`t get any roles and so on. You just have to be fit to continue working if you are an actress or actor, so being fit is essential to them.
Looks like a good motivation! Besides they have a lot of time between works to dedicate it to their body.

Have you tried fasting? I know it might sound far-fetched, but I've been doing it on the Superior Fasting Solution program for the last couple months and I've lost 47 lbs -- and NOT just water weight! I'm down to 249. You can check their program out at www.superiorfastingsolution.net

I know celebrities have used it, and I saw an interview with the red-haired Desperate Housewife and she said she's used it (a friend saw the interview too, and got the program, which is how I learned about it). Anyway, good luck!

Yes! Colonics are great (in fact, I lost 14lbs with a colonema when I was doing my first fast, and it was nasty! Not to be graphic, but it's amazing how much waste is stored in your large intestine.) Once you get all that muck out, your metabolism seems to change for the better, but really you've just become a more efficient digesting machine. Your body can use the nutrients you feed it more effectively, and I've found I'm not overeating like I used to anymore...I learned about it from www.superiorfastingsolution.net -- it's been a godsend.

Great information, but how it would relate to the slimming stars?
I`ve read that SOME of them do use slimming pills... diets and stuff, and MOST of them use liposaction and plastic surgeries... so what?
