In the weeks before Christmas 2001, when the site had just been launched, there were many hits from viewers searching for 'Martha Stewart stollen recipe'. This site was the number one result, ahead of the Martha Stewart site. AOL has an estimated 36,826,358 home users*.
 
Netscape Search

A search on Netscape for 'chicken pie recipe' shows the site as the first and second result early in January 2002. Netscape accounts for 20% of Internet searches.

Excite

The site had may hits from viewers searching for 'gourmet chicken recipes' throughout December 2001.
 
Go.com

Go.com featured the site in second place in a search for 'recipe gourmet chef'. Go.com accounts for over 22% of Internet searches.

HotBot

On January 2nd. 2002, a search for 'sausage rolls recipie' showed as the top result. Note the mis-spelling!
 
MSN

At MSN, the second most widely used search facility, the site again is number one.

Even we were amazed when are search for simply 'recipe forum' showed the site in first position.
